Obituary of Herman Allen Hill

Tullahoma, Tennessee - Mr. Herman Allen Hill, age 78, of Tullahoma, TN, passed from this life on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Tullahoma, TN at his home. Mr. Hill was born in Winchester, TN, to his late parents Doc Piper Hill and Ellen Smith Hill. Mr. Hill served his state as a state trooper for several years until retirement, ultimately obtaining rank of Sergeant. After retiring, he went back to work for the Williamson County courthouse for 10 years. Mr. Hill was a member of the Tennessee Lodge No. 262 as a free mason. He also had involvement in country music, having served as a body guard and good friend of George Jones and served in other capacities as well. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Hazel Hill and son, Tommy Hill. Mr. Hill is survived by a grandson, Tanner (Mary Beth) Hill, and a great grandson, Mack Allen Hill. In accordance with Mr. Hill’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Hill may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
