Graveside services for Ms. Florence Rust, age 96, of Manchester, will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 10 AM at the Hillsboro Methodist Church Cemetery with her nephew, David Shipley, officiating. In case of inclement weather, the services will be held in the Methodist church, courtesy of its members. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery. Visitation with the family will held on Friday, November 17, from 5 - 8 PM at Central Funeral Home. Ms. Rust passed away on Sunday, November 12, at Unity Medical center in Manchester. Ms. Florence was born on February 11, 1921, in Coffee County, to the late William Forest and Delia Warren Parker. Before retirement, she worked for the Department of Human Services Keeping foster children. She loved people, especially children and the elderly. After retirement, she enjoyed living at McArthur Manor, where she enjoyed their church services, playing games, especially Bingo, and reading. Her faith in her Lord, her family and friends got her through hard times, cheering her on. In addition to her parents, Ms. Florence is preceded in death by her husband, John Rust; daughter, Patsy Rust Reeves; sisters Girtrue Parker and Cleo Shipley; brothers Bryan Lee Parker, J.W. Parker, and William Forest Parker, Jr. She is survived by her granddaughter, Gina (Randall) Embry of Louisville, KY; great grandchildren, William and Caroline Embry; sister Jean Wood of Manchester; special nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Ms. Florence will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and whose lives she has touched over the years. Central Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rust Family
