Dr. Harris was one of the best teachers I had throughout my undergraduate and graduate career. I graduated from TTU with a B.S. in Biology in 1987. I had Dr. Harris for several classes. I absolutely loved his teaching on Genetics, although I could have done without the fruit fly labs :). He had a way of explaining things that made the very complicated seem so logical and easy to remember. He was also very approachable and kind. I started going back to TTU for homecoming a few years ago and actually found his office, hoping to reconnect with him. I left a message on his door. Hopefully he got it. Anyway, I just wanted his family and friends know what a wonderful teacher he was and how much his life affected his students.
